Colour Dash 2024 FAQS

The Colour Dash is a short running route, roughly 2km, around the grounds of Mead Open Farm! At various points along the way, our volunteers will be primed and ready to cover participants in 100% non-toxic powder paint! You will start the race with a clean white t-shirt, but that’s certainly not how you’ll finish it! We challenge you to get as much paint on you as possible!

Included in your ticket is admission to the most colourful run ever, an event t-shirt, a small packer of paint to throw, a fun pre-workout and a winners medal!

Your entry cost will cover the race itself, a t-shirt, finishers medal, and a small packet of paint to throw. To gain access to the farm you must get a minimum sponsorship of £10 per person.  Once you’ve provided evidence of your sponsorship at the sign in desk you’ll be given your free Mead Open Farm ticket so you can enjoy the Farm after the race.

We prefer online sponsorship to be raised through Enthuse, as the fees to the charity are minimal. Your confirmation email will contain a link to the KidsOut Enthuse page, where you can set up a personal sponsorship page. If you prefer to raise cash sponsorship, please bring this with you on the day.

The event is open to anybody regardless of your running ability – all that matters is you turn up, have fun, and leave covered in paint! The event will not be timed as we want you to focus on having fun not achieving a PB. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the terrain and the paint at the event under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, pets are not allowed, and the route is not suitable for pushchairs.

Registration will open at 9am, and the warmup will begin at 10am. Please arrive no later than 9:30 to ensure you are ready.

The only ingredients in the paint are Talc, Corn Starch & Non-toxic pigments. The paint is non-toxic, non-irritant to skin, fireproof, and conforms to EN 71-3 European Standard. The colour powder is almost stain free – for removal use soap for body and detergent for clothing with water. Our volunteers will not throw paint above the shoulders or at toddlers. Keep away from eyes and do not swallow. We advise wearing sunglasses to protect the eyes.

Yes! We have plenty of free parking.

Please note we do not offer refunds on tickets.
