Scouts and Girl Guiding Weekend
On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September 2024, Mead Open Farm is hosting its first ever Scouts and Girl Guiding Weekend for just £10 per person.*
On top of all the usual fun of the farm you can choose to attend one of our Badge Sessions where we will be helping the children towards earning their animal care themed badges.
*Please note, this is a group booking event for your registered Scouts or Girl Guiding group only, with a minimum of 10 children. Registered Scouts or Girl Guiding group name needed at booking. Any bookings found to not be part of Scout or Girl Guiding will be cancelled.

✅ Specific sessions tailored towards earning your animal/farm related badges
✅Feed our animals and take part in animal activities including bunny hop and pony grooming sessions

We will be holding specifically tailored talks to help children to achieve their badges. We will be holding sessions tailored to the below:
✅Beaver – Animal Friend Badge
✅Cubs – Animal Carer Badge
✅Rainbows – Animal Lover Badge
Sessions will be there to provide the knowledge needed for the badges and time to ask our livestock team questions. The sessions will not provide the hands-on experience required as this is something the children must do over a period of time. More details on the sessions will be provided closer to the event.

- Your visit must be booked online in advance. You can either pay upfront today or, you will need to pay a £100 non-refundable deposit today and the remaining balance by the 30th of August
- Add all of your adult tickets to your basket and the free adult ratio discount will be added at checkout
- No worries if your numbers change, just let us know and we can adjust your booking accordingly.
- Group leaders can visit Mead Open Farm prior to their visit to complete their own risk assessment if required.

- Please note that socks must be worn in Shaggy’s PlayWorld, arms and legs must be covered on drop slides and there are some height and age restrictions on some of the activities such as Sky Trail and our Rock climbing wall
